In November 2024, Defender brand in the Philippines hosted an unparalleled 4-day journey through the captivating landscapes of Palawan, giving the guests a taste of the untamed beauty of the island from the driver's seat of their own Defender.
Day 1: Warm Welcome
On November 5, 2024, Defender guests were warmly greeted by the dedicated Experience Team at El Nido Airport marking the beginning of a memorable journey. Soon afterward, they embarked on a stimulating off-road drive to Bato ni Ningning going up the viewing deck wherein you’ll see San Vicente’s long beach, the second-longest white-sand beach in Southeast Asia, soaking in the mystical views of Palawan. Along the way, they enjoyed a brief respite at the Tourist Rest Area allowing them to recharge before the day culminated with their check-in at Hotel Elizabeth Resort where they indulged in elegantly appointed villas, each offering breathtaking ocean views. The long coast of San Vicente provided the perfect setting for relaxation and unwinding. As the sun set, accompanied by the gentle sounds of the waves by the beach, a welcome dinner crafted from locally sourced ingredients was served, offering an authentic taste of the island and ending the day on a peaceful note.
Day 2: Adventure and Discovery
The day started early for the guests who set off on an elating drive to Puerto Princesa, marveling at the unique terrain and stunning scenery that Palawan is renowned for. A light and flavorful lunch welcomed the guests after a 4-hour excursion followed by a visit to the Palawan Rescue Center where they had an up-close encounter with crocodiles and acquired unique insights into local conservation efforts. Continuing the voyage, the guests took off straight to Four Points by Sheraton – a sophisticated and stylish hotel and resort offering guests a tranquil retreat with astounding sight of the surrounding landscapes where they also had an optional tour to Mangrove Forest, Sabang Beach and bask in hotel amenities through getting massages and the likes. The day concluded with a scrumptious dinner where they shared stories with each other, reflecting on their exciting day.
Day 3: Exquisite Experience and Farewell Dinner
The guests began the day with an early departure at sunrise, hopping on a scenic ride back along the coastal road where they would be most exposed on a long drive. The ocean, still calm in the early hours, mirrored the rising sun, creating a placid backdrop to their drive. After nearly 3 hours on the road, they arrived at Lio Beach for a leisurely boat tour to Big Lagoon followed by a sunset cruise. Despite the rain, the experience retained its luxurious charm, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the guests headed to Angkla Beach Resort, a delightful oasis nestled along the pristine shores of Nacpan Beach in El Nido. A farewell dinner was held in the evening for a night of commemoration and reminiscence.
Day 4: Unwinding and Departure
The morning sun gently roused the guests, setting the tone for a day of relish at the hotel. A palatable lunch was served giving everyone a chance to enjoy their last meal in Palawan following souvenir shopping and delighting in idyllic scene. As the day drew to a close, the guests departed from El Nido Airport carrying with them treasured memories of their adventure in this tropical paradise. The perfect conclusion to an extraordinary getaway.
